Write for us
The Bit Stream welcomes pitches that make a durable computing idea clearer for curious general readers. We are interested in precise explanations, not product promotion or jargon for its own sake.
What to pitch
Propose a focused piece about digital information, networks, the web, storage or computing fundamentals. A strong pitch names the question, explains why it matters to a non-specialist and gives a short account of the reasoning or examples the article will use.
What makes a good contribution
Use accurate definitions, distinguish analogy from mechanism and explain terms before relying on them. Keep the scope manageable and avoid unsupported claims, promotional copy, risky technical instructions or material that requires specialist advice to act on.
How to send a proposal
Send your pitch through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Include a proposed title, a concise outline and any relevant context about your approach; a proposal is not a promise of publication.
